My class is wonderful

And they are sweet
Like the candy that I eat

Have You Seen My Ice Cream?

by Inshirah Zaib aged 8

Have you seen my ice cream?
It’s as delicious as whipped cream

made with milk
as smooth as silk

Did it fly away?
I need to find it today

I found a track
but will it come back?

Have you seen my ice cream?
It’s as delicious as whip cream

I Love My Brother

by Jasmine

My brother is sometimes serious
My brother is mysterious

Over all the bickering
His eyes are usually flickering

With his blue bell eyes
I wonder who he really is
beneath that sweet disguise

In my secret garden there is so much to do
like having fun, just with you
playing games on lazy days
come down to my secret garden
and we will have lots of fun
when all our work is finally done

The Graffiti Maker

A plain wall is what you see,
but a canvas for painting
it will be for me.

I take out my tools –
cans of paint. They are
snakes that spray out venom
and I’m the snake charmer.

My painting begins.
It looks good. It looks abstract.
It turns out great.
‘Wow. Beautiful,’
Was all I could call it.

The world thinks I engage
in vandalism. But then,
do I have another canvas?

A Recipe for Friends

by Berk aged 7

I’d start with a teaspoon of goofy-ness
a jug of friendliness
half a tea spoon of arguments
a sack of caring
and 90000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 sacks
of happiness

I’d mix them well in a pot
and there you go.
So many friends.

Why, both question and answer
Why, a mystery but yet a clue
Why, past and present
Why, to be known but to be alone
