A Bird Without Wings

Ah! what a bliss, to have elegant wings,
with a lush of brightness, making it perfect for swings.
But pity on my wrenching soul, having no freedom to fly,
enclosed in a cage, dreaming,
an elated flight in the boundless sky.
It’s no more than a mere waste,
unable to flaunt the elegance,
unable to sing and dance merrily
in the open sky without surveillance.
Multiple attempts to get escaped
just proved to be futile.
My master asks me, “What do you want, oh li’l bird?
How can I say, My master? I want for nothing,
but just a little freedom, to fly like every other merry bird.

Eid day is my favorite day,
I give charities for the poor,
We go [me and my family] to eat
at our friend’s house.
We give people gift’s like toys.
This day is when our Ramadan stops,
[we don’t fast anymore].
This makes us
gleeful and blithe.
Now our day is over

I’m cool because I like Lego,
watching TV,
fighting
and riding my bike.
What I like to do.
I like to eat ice cream,
crisps, cake, oranges
and BBC chicken
as it’s delicious.

We were waiting for those days,
longing to enjoy summer holidays.
We used to go to the beach
and eat lots of peach.
We used to play with mud,
make many types of bird.
We used to decorate them with shells,
but many of them fell.
We enjoyed those holidays,
and spent them in different ways.
I played with pleasure,
without any study pressure.
