Summer

by Kallie aged 9

School is out
Now I’m not going to pout
In the summer I run
Summer is really fun
In summer I also relax in the sun
Now this poem is done.

Why

1
by Azmeer aged 9

Why?
Why?
Why?
I see it passing by
ascending in the sky
it makes me question why?
Why do clouds fly?

Why?
Why?
Why?
I see it in his eyes
while he pokes a fly
it makes me question why?
Why do liars lie?

Why?
Why?
Why?
Wearing an old school tie
while in maths we multiply
makes me question why?
Why do we have to wear a tie?

Why the River Flows

1
by Azmeer aged 9

I often wonder
I often think why
the river flows like clouds up high

Or why the grass
is not as brown as brass
or as pink as an unripe cherry.

It occurs to me that honey bees
store their honey in trees
protected by leaves.

And that is why the river flows
because of nature’s way to go
this crooked and uneven path
is still a mystery to everyone’s heart.

Racism

0
by Harvey James aged 12

If you’re white
If you’re black
We all have equal rights
But not to be racist
That’s not right
Racists just look for a fight
But don’t fight
It gets you nowhere
Because those racists don’t care

Love at First Sight

0
by Leyla Walsh aged 12

Love at first sight
You might catch a mite
The room is full of love
You look down from up above
Take my hand before you die
I will wrap and wrap a tie
Don’t get me down
I live in a mound

NHS

Broken arm,
Broken leg,
They don’t care,
They’ll save the day.

Feeling sick,
Feeling ill,
They’ll help you,
To get better soon.

Thank you doctors,
Thank you nurses,
Thank you pharmacists,
Thank you surgeons.

No more broken arms,
No more broken legs,
No more feeling sick,
No more feeling ill.

Thank you everyone,
For your help,
The next time I will see you,
Will be in two months.

Earth

by Lewis Rutherford aged 12

Earth is a lovely place
it is a planet out of space
It has rich and poor
and people who can’t get out the door
It has a population of 8 billion
and Europe has more than100 million

School is Boring

0
by Joe Williams aged 12

School is boring
School is dead
So why do we have to get out of bed?
Early in the morning
I start snoring
School is boring
When I’m snoring

Liverpool

by Mikey Lawless aged 12

I’m from Liverpool were everyone’s itching to ride out
Life’s messed up
Never see the bigger picture
Hard days living with my grandad gone
One day later he’ll be none
Rest in peace to my grandad
RP Jets now a PT fan
I’ll never forget that man
