Bumpy Waves

by Jayme-louise aged 9

Against these bumpy, turning waves
A rainbow as colourful as a
Hippy.
They turn and twist like
Dancing strings.
They move as slowly as a slug
The beautiful waves move
My way and nestle to my feet
It tickles your feet so gingerly,
It makes the sand wet.
It is as cold as a freezer
It’s as turquoise as a pen.
It is a beautiful as can be
Especially in the evening
You’ll all see!

True Happiness

by Katelyn Perry aged 9

A rainbow flying in the sky

This blue one is divine
That’s why it’s mine

In the night there are twinkling stars
shining above

Every morning I see bees caught in trees

I love the wind blowing in my hair

As I see majestic butterflies

Everytime I sing that’s me letting my true colours shine

As I sneeze dust falls in my glamourous eyes

Never let anyone down

Let your true happiness shine!!!!!

Creepy School

0
by Tianna Smith aged 8

Children working hard while creepy crawlers scuttled in the school yard
all ignoring the teachers’ horrid snoring
The head teacher’s head is crawling!
The teachers are going mad, the little kids are all sad
Half of the class hide, others trying to sneak by
But no one can escape the horrid school
better run now the teachers are drooling

Zombies! It’s like halloween!!
I want to go free to get to my mummy!!!!!!!!!

New Blue Sky

0
by Freddie aged 9

The moon comes into the sky

like the new blue sky.

The sun says good morning,

the moon says good night.

The sun is hot but the moon…

Okay, so I am going to bed

with the moon outside now

It’s the good-night moon.

School Days

1
by Hayden Lewis aged 9

It is the beginning of the school day
down the small drive
came children.
Sky holds its
breath in surprise
I threw my bag down
cautiously, so cautiously
I touched the animal
who looked at me
With eyes like a scared puppy.
Against these turbid skies
the dark and luminous balloons
rise, reel like dancing girls.
I clutched my bag
gingerly, so gingerly
I tiptoed towards the creature
who looked at me
with eyes like a baby rabbit
in the lunch time queue
Down the long hungry line
the table winces
teachers gape in surprise

Warrior Wasp

1
by Maisy Hodges aged 9

It is the middle of the school day
And in the playground
The children are
Eating their lunch, playing with friends

Suddenly, a massive, murderous, warrior wasp
Charges through the trees!
And gingerly, so gingerly
They step back
Even the fence stares in fear

A brave girl lunges forwards
She is as bold as a lion
The flowers flinch
The sky gapes
The children step back watching

Girl, children, sky and sun
Hold your breath
And be silent
A moment to remember
On this warm afternoon in June!

Haunted School

by Molly Wybrow aged 9

Children working hard during literacy.
With a crush, the lights turned off!
Teacher gapes, children cry,
Even the chairs jump up high!
Suddenly, a massive spider opens the door
and starts to open up his mouth
He is trying to eat us!

Haunted School

Children were working hard in maths.

Suddenly in a ran a soft, squeaky mouse

running through some children.

The whiteboard winced, children gaped.

The mouse looked like a grape.

Suddenly I was out in the playground.

I froze in fear like when it’s an emergency.

I saw something shivering in the bush.

It was a baby guinea pig

I was thinking she might be lost.

I went back home and looked after her.
