The Farmer Poem

by Keira aged 9

It snapped of his windmill
and snow started to fall
and everything was frozen.
The farmer was so sad.
The wind was howling.
He went to bed.
He could hear the wind howling.
The strong wind
Its stamping feet
It is directed and stampeding
It clumped and raged

The Poisonous Bat

by Jake S aged 9

The storm is a poisonous bat
The bat squeaks like a mouse
It hangs upside down
it flies across the cave
it can hear everything
it crashes across the cave
it is angry

Cold Water

by Harshita Das aged 12

You used to remind me of a refreshing drink
But now you are the icy river in the winter
You used to be the water I plunged my face into
But now you are the harsh, freezing bucket to wake me up
You used to be cold water
But now I know, your heart is freezing

The Classroom

I dumped my coat and bag
gingerly, so gingerly I walked to a stray silky cat
in the classroom,I  tiptoed away
from the cat who stared at me
with beaming green eyes.

Suddenly, everyone stopped and stared
the cat stunk like a pig.
The board froze in surprize,
even the teacher stared in fear

The cat became friendly
it gasped when it saw a mouse
There was a silence
Everyone stared and walked away!

The School Life

Wonderful discos get people in the groove
and it gets me to move.
Around we go, around the school
until our teacher Miss Jordan left
we were so sad and tearful, like me.

Lovely teachers teach us alot
it’s really sad
but I forgot
my work, I was told off.

I went to a ceremony to meet the master drapers.

I’ve met my new teacher, who is fun
I’m going to year 5 in September and I can’t wait
Me and my friends can’t wait, we can’t bear it

Thank you for reading my poem.

The Mysterious Creature Storm

1
by Sophie-Rose aged 9

The storm is a fierce wolf.
Unstoppable and wide-eyed.
It sprints across the dark sky.
Like a dark, blinding night moon.
The air rumbles with the sound of a deafening, wild howl.
It runs in the snowy, gloomy woods, making footprints in the deep snow.
With its rough paws, it tramples over the landscape.
Completely steady on its feet, it will never stop running.
Raging, sprinting, jumping over everything.
Thoughtless, outrageous and uninvited.

My Favorite Food

0
by Apoorva Vishwanath aged 8

I like the food prepared by my mummy
Which I feel very yummy,
When I am hungry, it fills my tummy,
When I finish eating it, I say, “I love you Mummy”

I love idlies, I finish it quickly,
I eat it happily, as they are very fluffy.
I also like Masala Dosa, and tasty Samosa,
I like to eat sweet but don’t eat meat.
I like eating ice-creams,
to get nice dreams
I love strawberry cake ,
also to have a fruit milkshake.

These are my favourite foods
Which makes my balanced mood
Without having any junk food
