Time

Look at the time, it’s quarter past nine
I’ve got a meeting to go to
But I’m still eating
And who is going to drop me there?

I could ask me friend if he could lend
me his car
I’m driving and reading the letter that says I
am invited to the meeting

At last, I’ve arrived
But what’s this? There’s nobody here
At first I think nobody cares
But when I look at the bottom
The meeting is tomorrow!

YouTube is fun
It’s nice to see what people like to do.
I went on to my friends channel
and saw a video
Gossip girls said mean things
but I won’t get mad,
Maisy and Katelyn

Floral Carpet

by Aditi Vishwanath

A small bud,
growing from a plant in mud
blooms into a pretty flower
by the water’s shower.

With colourful petals
a green sepal
and a happy face,
full of peace.

Butterflies fly and swing happily by
and sing merrily,
seeing the flowers blooming cheerfully,
gracefully and prettily.

Colourful flowers blooming everywhere,
the people who hate them are very rare,
but when floral carpets bloom,
everyone’s cheerful. Gone is the gloom.

Lollipop Person

Lollipop lady, lollipop man
helping day and night,
if she wasn’t there for you
the cars could give you a fright
Just remember your green cross code
every time you cross a road.
Red man STOP, green man GO
behind the curb should be your toe.
So just remember your green cross code
every time you cross a road

The Sunlit Sky

by Elsie aged 12

The sky lilac on a sunlit day’s end,
the candy-floss clouds lay still,
fading into the warmth of the light,
it looked as if the sun had spilt.
a golden glow over the horizon,
the clouds like wisps of smoke,
the sun reflecting off of the sea,
making it shimmer and shine,
the sun itself was golden with a warming look,
golden twas the centre,
like pure gold.

The Day I Saw the Monster

0
by Apoorva Vishwanath aged 8

The day I saw a Monster
It was dense and dark,
I was playing in the park
There came a whirling smoke
No, no, it is not a joke.

It looked like a man, and said “HAN.”
I asked what HAN? It said my name is HAN
It had a huge face but had no legs,
Instead, there was only smoke.

It was a monster, and I was very scared
But we became friends, and gladly played
After sometime it went away, but said
“I will come again to play.”

Later we played everyday
I wasn’t sacred, like  that first day.

The Great Flood II

by Pragun Pudukoli

The dams were filled with water
like a bucket. The water pushed
the walls of the dam with as much
force as any wrestler.

The dams gave up, they opened.
The village down below
became a lake. And since then,
Nothing really has changed.

Fried Ship

Roses are red
blubbers are blue
hug your ted
is it going to be true?

I know it is hard
just tell me who is who
he is your best friend
I’m speaking about you

If you tell a lie
you won’t be happy
you are going to be die
don’t even try

Thanks for the truth
I know it was hard
this is like the confession both
now your going to write me a card

How True Love Always Wins

0
by Wang Ruoxi aged 10

Remember the day we first met?
I feel we are together forever in the future.
Your words are like rays of sunlight to me
and they tell me you care for me.
But this love thing seemed to come to an end
When I saw you with another girl.
I was so jealous, I wanted to beat her up.
But I thought you might then forget me forever.
Then this day come, I had already fully recovered.
During my graduation ceremony, you came out of nowhere with a banquet of flowers.
I was crying there, in front of everyone.
Cause I finally learnt what is true love.

Two-Side Appreciation

by Harshita Das aged 12

Clouds clip the light blue sky
Dark illusions clutch the ground
Golden glitter covers the trees
Lively wind is the only sound
I walk and walk; I see
A clean winding road in daylight
And a dark and dirty path
Pitch as the night

I trudge through the mud
I slip and I fall on the leaves
Branches hide the sky from view
And I feel nature looming over me

But as I reach the end; I see
The two paths join and meet
Tired and cold, I can believe
My prize is more appreciated
