Where to find happiness?
You can find happiness in your garden,
You can find happiness in the sea,
You can find happiness in the ocean,
You can find happiness up a tree,
You can find happiness flying on a plane,
You can find happiness traveling on a train,
You can find happiness whilst you are sweeping,
You can find happiness whilst sleeping.
Happiness is everywhere.
Poems
Shattering Teardrops
My tears shatter when they fall
They form a puddle as they touch the ground
They make a small pool
And I think, if this is the ocean for ants
Or tiny beings like gnomes and dwarves
And then I wonder
Who is crying for us?
The Poetry Zone
It’s a hub for many to gather
Inspiration radiates from here
A place which motivates us
And gives us the push we need
To jump over the edge
Peek-a-boo
You scare me
You laugh
I’ll laugh with you.
I scare you
You cry
I’ll cry with you.
Your dad tells you off
You get discouraged
I get discouraged with you.
My mum tells me off
You shrug it off.
She calls you a ….
You get angry
I’ll get angry with you.
Someone calls me a…
You agree.
You cheat on me
I cry but forgive.
I cheat on you
You throw a fit and break up.
Only to come running back to me
When you are in trauma with the drunk day
Someone goes,
Peek-a-boo
You are frightened
Someone goes,
Peek-a-boo
I don’t get scared but wonder who it is.
But the one playing with me,
Making me its puppet,
Taunting me,
Torturing me,
Is you.
The Winter
I go out to play in the snow,
Where it shines and glows,
I build a snowman,
With a hat, scarf and gloves.
I go indoors for my tea,
I go to bed and dream about the snow and me!
Field of Peace
Running through the long green grass,
Brushing past flowers,
Releasing the sweet smell,
I feel the wind scrape through my hair,
As I race,
Race through the field before me,
Colourful birds cross my path,
They swoop in front of my face,
As I keep running a bee flies around me,
Its stripes exact and bold,
Running through the field before then I trip to the floor,
I lay and look around,
Watching everything around me,
The smells that are sweet – like honey,
The sounds – like singing birds,
The sights – like a perfect canvas,
The noise – as quiet as a mouse.
Achievements and Goals
We all hope to do something
Get a certain job, have a family
Or it’s sometimes simpler
Read to page 50 or use a new word.
Achievements and goals we call them,
They’re what help to shape us
The stepping stones in life
Helping us create the larger image.
When we complete one
There’s no better feeling
It’s a feeling of glory, pride, accomplishment and victory
Like we’ve done something no one else ever has.
You don’t understand something
We should take that as a challenge
To try our best at learning it.
My Dog Bonnie
My Dog Bonnie looks like a tiny wolf
Her ears feel like silk and her teeth as white as milk
Paws smooth as leather, eyes dark as coal
Miniature and light, just like a feather
Bonnie means beautiful, bold and strong!!!!!!
Metaphor Poem
I am yellow, happy and bright
I am a bed, lazy and tired
I am winter, cosy and festive
I am a strawberry, sour and sweet
I am a ballerina,g raceful and elegant
I am Spain, warm and sunny
I AM ME!!!!!!!
