My Holiday

5
by Jessica Sumner aged 4

I got on a plane to go to my holiday house.
On the plane I saw Elsie, Tommy and Granny.

I saw the beach too
I saw a boat
Then I saw the sand.

Then I saw the swimming pool outside
Next I went in it

And had lovely day.

Winter

by Princess aged 9

Winter is coming
See children
Rolling, making snow angels

People making snowmen
And having carrots for their noses
After playing, everyone goes home
To have hot chocolate
And play again tomorrow

Why I Didn’t Do My Homework

6
by Daisy Woods aged 10

Why I didn’t do my homework, Miss Smith,
I hear you ask,
I did do it, but my dog ate it.
Sorry I’ll bring it in tomorrow.

I’m so sorry, Miss Smith,
But I don’t have my homework,
It blew away while I was walking down the path,
You’re right I’ll bring it in tomorrow.

Miss Smith, You know what I’m going to say,
Still haven’t handed in my homework today.
My mum accidentally put in the shredder.
Don’t Worry Miss Smith, I’ll have it tomorrow.

Okay Miss Smith, I have something to tell you,
And it really isn’t a lie.
The truth is I never really did it at all.
No, Miss Smith don’t call my parents.

My Dog, Loki

by Iris Woods aged 8

My dog Loki has brown, bold eyes.
He also has midnight-black, soft, silky fur.
My dog Loki has a, short, wagging tail.
He also has a pink, slimy tongue like the skin of a scary monster

My dog Loki is, faster than the wind,
He is also, very playful.
My dog Loki is, a scaredy-cat (even though he is a dog),
He is also, very, very hungry!

The Structure of a Snowman

3
by Daisy Woods aged 10

The first step of making a snowman,
Is rolling three different sized balls.
Then putting them on top of each other
They must be in the right order of course.

The next step is,
Finding some sticks for the arms,
Maybe they are lying in the ground
Possibly to stick them on you might use old lip balms

The third and final step,
Is to accessorise,
A carrot nose, some button eyes,
A top hat on his head and scarf around his neck.

The First Look

by Isabelle aged 10

The first look at friendship is always good
but sometimes you take a second look
This could be because you fell out
but trust me
life is too short to fall out
especially if you don’t fix it fast
So keep your friends close and your really good friends closer
You’re enemies no more

Love

by Daisy Woods aged 10

Love is an emotion
It’s how I feel about you,
It’s a warm, fuzzy feeling,
Which makes me crazy too.
I fall into a trance
Whenever I see you
Just one dance
For me, that would do.

The Bike

by Isabelle Gulliver aged 10

My first go on the bike…
Let’s just say it was a fright
for a 3 year old
Now it is as fun as can be with no stabilisers
How quick I can be?

Time

Time is ticking on the clock
Hours are going by
Minutes and seconds
Ticking through time
Big clocks, small clocks
Medium clocks, square clocks,
Circular clocks, oval clocks.
Clocks go back and forth
And it happens all over again
One hour back,
Another one forth
