Shop, shop, shop
Some hate it
Some love it
Clothes
No toys
One at a time
Love shopping
Children get sweets
Pocket money is spent
I want this
I want that
Shop, shop, shop
I am the nightmare monster,
I am the secret that you dare not talk about,
not even to your closest friends
I am the darkness that make you shiver,
I am the eyes that make you cry,
I am the fear that makes you jump out of bed,
I am the film that you will never forget
The sky is blue; the grass is green
The winter is cold; summer is hot
Universal facts, I dare not question them
But what of right and wrong?
Murder is bad; friendship is good
Is what we’re told, since we were young
But what of execution to exterminate the vermin?
And the unhealthy friendships that drain you
Have you ever questioned what you’ve been taught?
Questions, questions, questions
Ask the questions no one has ever asked before
For girls would still be inferior to boys if no one had questioned it before
And being with others of the same gender would be a crime
Ask questions, be curious about the world
And even if we don’t arrive at the same answer
On opposing sides, we shall battle and debate
With an open mind
I try to hack the mysteries of my mind
Never found anything, except comfort and love
Am I so afraid of what I’ll find?
Or is comfort and love all I’ve known?
When I picture an emotion, there’s nothing I see
In the vast ocean that lies locked in my head
For it’s stubbornly submerged; in depths I can’t reach
And only petty conflicts allow me to see the surface
Society tells me to dull down my feelings; store them deep inside
Wear mask after mask, until my face is lost in the ocean
Fake smiles, pretty words and polite talk to dim down the feelings
But perhaps I am lucky to have never felt true emotion
Just glimmers of it, in a tantalizing reach
For emotion has a way of showing up
In the most desperate situations
Yes, truly
The mysteries of my mind are love and comfort
A pearly, shimmering blanket covers the city floor
I dash on my coat, hat and gloves and fix a holly upon my door
I grab the snow and create a charming snowman with a broad beam
I then head back to the house for my hot chocolate topped with whipped cream
I watch the snow fall onto my parents car
Then glance at the Christmas tree with a golden, glistening star!
So far the zombies are beating the plants
and the zombies have secret bases
in the middle there
A fight zone is cool
