The Government Asked Me To Stay Home
Not Just To Protect Grannies Alone
But Everyone Else In Need
Just This Is A Good Deed,

I Think I Will

On My Bookshelf

by Tayla aged 10

I looked at my bookshelf and this is what I saw:
Roald Dahl and his witty books
J.M Barrie’s Peter and Hook
I saw murder with the words Agatha Christie
I saw Off By Heart, I love… um… I think his name is Rover Stegens!;)
A little bit of Jacqueline Wilson and a bit of Dr Seuss
E.B White, Beatrix Potter, Enid Blyton too!
Every time I look at my bookshelf I hope I’ll be there soon!

Pizza Now!

by Ahrin Jain aged 7

I wanted my pizza
but I didn’t get it
and when it came,
I wasn’t hungry anymore
so they took it back
and put in in the bin
and when they put it in the bin
I was hungry again
PIZZA NOW!

I’m hiding in the mud
I’m hiding in your nose and mouth
Touch me, I stay with you
Turn on the tap, I don’t budge
Put on soap
OH NO!
Cannonball! sliding slipping down the slide I go!
Wash your hands every day and I won’t stay!

Covid 19

The corona virus is a horrible thing to handle,
not seeing your friends or family,
people dying because some of us are not bothered to stick by the rules.
When we are all older and this is all old news,
this will be a big story to tell to those that were not alive when we were in danger.
Hopefully the people that are not going by the rules
will realise how important this all is.

Stay home and stay safe!

Arcade

One great day,
I was celebrated,
It was my birthday,
I was congratulated.
Everyone was happy,
All full of glee,
All celebrating the birth,
Of me!
They all had smiles,
As we travelled in the car,
We travelled for miles,
I kept asking “How far?”
Dad drove us there,
Mum was upset,
It just wasn’t fair,
She hadn’t driven yet.
When we arrived,
There was big a Ferris wheel,
It went really high,
You could hear people squeal!
We stepped on the gravel,
Of the famous Skegness,
Carrying a shovel,
My parents said yes.
They said we could go
To the biggest arcade,
We put on a show,
And we watched the parade!
When we got home,
My tum full of sugar,
I heard my sister moan,
Because my mum’s a big hugger.

Fall is Here

Fall is,
leafless branches slowly swaying like they’re waving to the down below!
Fall is,
soothing hot chocolate melting gently like a single snowflake falling from the sky!
Fall is,
scary pumpkins leading creepily like a wolf howling in the moonlight!
Fall is,
dark nights slowly emerging like a cloak wrapping around the city!

The Weather

When the clouds are in the sky
The rain pours down on you.
When the Sun is in the sky
There’s a lot of things to do.
When the thunder is in the sky
We all have to go and hide.
