Animals

Treat animals like you want to be treated
let them have space
let them have a perfect life like you
remember we’re animals too
They will only hurt you if you annoy them
like when we get mad
Treat anything how you want to want be treated
Have a think about this poem
Maybe show it in real life

Careful Quarantine

by Kelsey aged 10

Covid-19 has started
We’re stuck in quarantine
Stay home
Save lives
We’ll be a better team
Wash your hands for 20 seconds
Here’s a rhyme
Sing happy birthday
And sing it 2 times
You can go for a daily walk
But stay 2 meters
If we follow these rules
We can go back to school

Living in Lockdown

Go to the bathroom
wash your hands do it
for 20 seconds
and help others learn
Stay in the house and
be calm the audits will
sort something out
and any harm
Look after yourself and
others to
Don’t go out
or the virus
will get you
Don’t visit your Grandma
or grandpa if we have the virus thy will get it too
and they will not cope with it as well
And if someone going shopping make sure to
wear a mask.

Why Not?

From crocodiles to kangaroos
It’s amazing!
But why can’t we see that?
Why do we choose to pollute the world?
WHY not do good?
Why misjudge snakes and spiders?
Why not swing like monkeys or pounce like cats?
Why not run like cheetahs or fly like bats?
Why not pause look around?
See what’s there.
There’s always an animal to represent you!
But why can’t we see that?

Hattie’s Irresistible Invisibility Humbug

by Hattie aged 8

Hello sweet,
Goodbye feet!
I’ve only just popped it in,
Oh dear, where are my shins?
You are very welcome if you please,
But hurry up because there go my knees!
I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry,
Too late for that, I no longer have my thighs!
Perhaps I should have chosen gum,
No time for regret, bang goes my bum!
It’s been less than a minute on my lips,
And already I no longer have my hips!
This sweet is so yummy,
Even though it’s made me lose my tummy!
Oh dear, I can no longer see my vest,
Looks like I no longer have a chest!
I think this sweet is harmless,
Though I should point out that I am now armless!
What the heck?
I’ve lost my neck!
Oh no I’ve reached the strawberry red,
Whoaaaa, off with my head!
It’s worked, yippee!!
I see you, you don’t see me

Now for mayhem, mischief and some fun,
RUN Clover class, here I come!

Today will bring another day
with home so far away
Soon I will be home
and won’t be alone
and I won’t be sad
I will be glad
that I will be
with my family
and I have finished
my journey along
So no more journeys
no more leaving
now that I am home
I will stay forever after

Roses are red
Roses are colourful as can be
They make me happy like a daisy
I love, love love the beautiful rings
I will never forget them
like I will never forget you
