Coronavirus

Although we are stuck inside,
it does not mean we can’t go outside.
We can only go shopping if we please
so only go shopping when you please.
This time is very difficult
so don’t spread the disease.

The Bully

by Summer Dolphin aged 12

My startled face
As the bully appeared,
Rooted to the spot,
Under a spell.
My old best friend
Now a bully
His horrible twisted smile,
His hand coming toward my face
Just before his hand
Reached my face
I cried out
“Stop Stop What has happened to you?”
His face crumpled up
Like a paper bag
He told me all his troubles
And became a better friend

The never-ending Street

0
by Suvangana Aulyaman

I stood there
Alone,
The street light shone on me
Though the streets occupied me with darkness…
There were no souls to be seen
I grasped my feet firmly onto the ground
I grabbed my jacket
Put it ‘round my body
And ascended ahead…
The dark somehow seemed to drag me in its shallow pit
Thoughts covered my mind
I had started feeling absorbed
As I headed on the never-ending street
All at once when I saw that street light twinkle again
I developed a new ray of hope
As I turned around
To admire the soul-less street
It seemed bare,
And I blacked out…
The next morning I woke up
I saw myself unconscious
Remembering nothing from the night before
Where my mind seemed empty…
I never knew what happened that night
All that I ever asked myself,
“Had my life ever been so light?”

Spring

In Spring
beautiful, tall flowers grow.
Spring makes you think of flowers.

In Spring
it’s hot and sunny.
It’s fun to play outside
because the sun shines brighter than ever.

Spring is a fun season.

You can wish,
You can fly in a cloud.
Just believe in your cloud,
go for your wish,
nobody can stop you.

Coronavirus

Ahh, here comes another virus
Coronavirus
It has killed 10% of the world population
What else has it done to the world?
Who knows what it can do more
Who knows how it was formed
Who knows what will happen to the world

It’s all from China, from Wuhan
it’s where it started
and no one knows where it will end
So I miss all the fun I used to have
before this lockdown and now
it has all gone due to this coronavirus

Soon another virus will be released
and the world will be full of virus
and again I will miss all the fun

Family

Family, family,
Supportive and kind,
Always there for you,
Even when you’re out of your mind.
Never ever worry,
Because someone will be there in a hurry,
Family, family,
Always there for you.

Family, family,
There to pick you up (when you fall)
Do not be scared at all,
Don’t scream when you’re in the dark,
Because family will be there to hold your heart.

Locked Up in a Second

0
by Nafeesa aged 11

At the beginning of this year,
Everything was a big cheer,
I thought things would inspire us,
Until there came along a virus.

At first everything was normal,
But then got worse and went to level abnormal,
Shops were raided,
People were separated,
The funniest thing that was wanted,
Was bog roll all guarded.

Schools shut down,
And shops got closed,
No one was allowed out,
Because everything was on lock down.

Scientists are trying to find a vaccine,
But lets hope they find one before I turn nineteen
