A Cosmos of Lots of Uncertainties

1
by Shreesham Pandey aged 17

In the beginning the whole COSMOS
was just COOL AND CALM.
The elements in that nullity
never hoped of a future in that singularity.

But a WILD EMBER was there in the nucleus of that dot.
Aching to see the world unseen.
To disturb the equilibrium with its energy
and to bind everything in its synchrony.

The perpetual progression of the stress and strain exponentially
inflated the system around the ember to vast infinity.

The entropy finally settled the fire in it.

But threw away the remnant dot apart.
To construct a world of LAWS AND LINES.

Space

Up in space there’s so much to see,
So read this poem and come with me.
Put on your helmets and suits,
Let’s definitely not forget the boots.
In a rocket we’ll go soon,
And maybe even go past the moon.
There’s planets galore,
And much much more.
I don’t think aliens are real,
but I guess that’s how I feel.
Like I said there’s so much to see,
Did you enjoy space with me?

True Love and Why It’s Bad

0
by Grace Cousins

True love is amazing.
True love is awful.
True love is a way to cheer you up
and a way to drag you down into your misery.
I mean I’ve loved before
Yeah, and it’s amazing
but heartbreak is worse than grief
it makes you feel so low and so sad.
True love is a disguise
for a new type of pain
that you don’t properly experience
until you are a teen.
True love is torture

The Way the Wind Blows

by Grace Cousins

The way the wind blows is like an emotion.
The harder the wind, the angrier the earth.
When I sit and watch the wind express its emotions
I feel like I understand.
I get why the world is angry.
The way the wind blows
is in a way of trust
like the wind is trusting its secrets
to those who care to listen.
The way the wind blows is in peace not war.
The wind understands you
more than you understand it
so take care.
The way the wind blows.

Candy

Candy, how about popping candy
the way it explodes in your mouth
in a completely different way to popping popcorn.
Ah popcorn, my favourite.
The loud crunching sound between your teeth
and the smell when you first get it
it smells amazing.
Marshmallows, the delicious squish in your mouth
as you take the first bite into this full of sugar treat
bound to keep you up all night.
What about the chocolate from paradise island,
Bountys of course
the chocolatey case surrounding the coconut centre
one bite into one of these and it’s like you are on holiday.
There are many others
but here are just a few.
Give them a try
I liked them, what about you?

Silly Sausage

Silly sausage

His legs are pretty small

He’s not very tall

He’s trotting down the hall

While chasing his ball

He was running down the corridor

When he leaped out the door

Speeding down the lane

Grrrh! What a pain

Caught him in the bin

He was eating with a grin

I said NO!

Then tapped him on the chin

I was doing my job

When I heard some feet go plod

Oh, it’s the hairy sausage dog

My Sparkling Toy

0
by Leena Sophie Ayah Alane aged 6

My pink sparkling toy fish hiding in the flower vase,
Nobody, nobody knows how much sparkle it has,
With me, its two big, blue and cute eyes,
always end up to be a surprise.
It has large purple fins,
If anybody races it, my fish for sure wins,
My pink sparkling toy fish hiding in the the flower vase,
Nobody, nobody knows how much sparkle it has.

Blossoming Petals

by Mary Eve Alane aged 9

Unnoticed by many, bio-diverse flowers’ colorful petals,
Some sloppy as elastic, and others as rigid as metals,
As daffodils open on the first day of summer,
They release rays like the sun and plenty of shimmer,
Lilies, rare to find, and not as colorful as the others,
If you look closely, you’ll see pity pink and yelling yellow,
Buttercups, yellow and glistening as bright as can be,
Always swinging in the whistling wind happily,
Thorns, muffled shouting, willing to be loved and admired,
Instead of being grown behind torn, metal wires,
When I glance at the flowers, a tingle of joy runs through my body,
That same thing happens to everybody!
Unnoticed by many, bio-diverse flowers’ colored petals,
Some sloppy as elastic, and others as rigid as metals!

Where Do I Come From?

0
by Euan Wood aged 8

Where do I come from?
Why don’t you see,
I come from a planet called Blabbercity!
Where the grass is blue and the skies are red,
But most importantly, cows are dead!
In Blabbercity, humans eat worms
And also cats really squirm!
But now I must return to my planet.
Pass on the secret – if you have it!
