I wanted to sleep
I was really sleepy
And I wanted to sleep
And then the van came
And woke me up with its beep, beep
I was really drowsy
And I went to bed
And then I woke myself
By bumping my head
And then I hit the pillow
Dreaming about my best buddy
And then mum had to wake me up
By calling me to study
Oh!!! Thank god
It was getting night
Nobody was letting me sleep
It was not even right
At night I slept sleepily
Dreaming a few dreams
They were about alive pens
And pizzas and ice-cream
And when I finally had some peace
Our cat decided to come around
And I was woken up
By the cat’s dreadful sound
The next morning, I wondered
That if anyone would let me sleep
Will the van go crazy?
And do its usual beep, beep?
Then I remembered that there was school
And I had to go there
I would be so sleepy
It wasn’t even fair
When I came back
There was no one around
Now I could sleep
And there would be no sound
Finally I slept
And I slept like a log
There was no cat
There was no dog
And when I woke up
It was late night
This can’t be good
This can’t be right
Is tomorrow school??
I don’t even know
What was I dreaming about????????
An arrow and a bow???
Is tomorrow school?
If tomorrow there is school
I am in big trouble
If not, then I am cool
Oh, that was all a dream
I forgot to tell you that
There was not a dog
Or any cat!!!!!!!!!

Over the moon, the winners have won
Life has changed for the good, and the bad
YAY! Great Britain has won!
Maybe the losers will try again and win for the first time
Possibly the winners will give the others a chance: hopefully
I wish I was them, standing on the podium, gold medals hanging round their necks
Can have a go please?

I read a book where…

The short words would walk with high heels
The tall words would have to kneel

The small words would cry and yawn
The big words would, whilst holding a person, mow the lawn

The swear words would screech and shout
The sweet words would coo and never pout

The silly words would laugh and throw rubbers
The mean words would bully and call people blubber

BANG! The book’s closed

I know a place where students are teachers
And teachers are students

I know a place where money grows on trees
And leaves are made out of wood

I know a place where my mum teaches me basketball
And my dad gives me spit wipes

I know a place where everything is upside down
And you walk on the ceiling…

WAKE UP!

My mum is always

Nagging me to study

That is just the same

For my best buddy

She’s talking about study

Whenever I play

It’s just like that

Each and every day

I have to listen to her

Day and night

And maybe usually

She is the one that’s right

YEAH!!!!! I said it,

She is the one that’s right

But I don’t mind

Because I like to play

I feel like doing it

Night and day

Well I guess we should balance it out

Just as she says

But maybe I can

Get just a little extra time to play?

I love dancing,
I love prancing.

I like jelly,
I like the telly.

I hate the sand,
but I love the land!
