I’m Having problems

I’m having problem with writing poems
I can’t think of any right now
I want to make a poem about a seal
And a lonely cow
But I’m having
Some serious trouble
I can’t write about a mean giant
Or about a kind bubble
I can’t think of any poems
Just what should I write?
No ideas popping in my head
Its not even right
I’m thinking hard
But the ideas are flying away
So I was just hoping
That if I can go and play
An idea for a poem
Might pop into my head
And if it doesn’t, never mind
I’ll try another day.

The Lonely Cow

0
by Harshita Das aged 10

Once there was a lonely cow
Wandering here and there
Searching for a lot of fruits
Mainly apples and pears

Once there was a lonely dog
Searching for a bone or two
He didn’t have any friends
So that was the only thing he could do

Once there was a lonely sheep
With a lot of wool to sheer
In the summer
It was the heat it couldn’t bear

Once there was a lonely pig
Searching for a mud pool
It was really smart
And not any kind of fool

There are so many animals
Which are alone
They want some friends
And usually moan

So let’s make the lonely animals
Have a friend
And they will be you all
So make a good friend

Stupid Sam

Stupid Sam said
He wanted to read trees
He wanted to eat the breeze
He want to be the hare
He wanted to break the plates and bam

Stupid Sam said that
He wanted to touch the sky
He wanted to fly sky high
He wanted to hear the book
He wanted a dancing hook

Stupid Sam said that
He wanted a ball in a pen
He wanted to go to the lion’s den
He wanted to eat water
He wanted a stupid daughter
Now how much more stupid can Sam be?
He is the most stupid person I’ll ever see!!!

At the Circus

There is a circus in town
And I am gonna go to the show
I want to meet the acrobat
With his tie and bow
I am gonna meet the animals
There is gonna be a tiger and a seal
And there is the ticket seller
Ready to make a deal
I am going to a circus
This is gonna be fun
I’ll be really sad
When it is done
There are gonna be girls and boys
Having a lot of pets
Why there is one
Which I have already met
There is gonna be a ring master
Cracking his whip
And a lot of horses
Dancing to hop and hip
There are gonna many things
It’s gonna be mad
And it is the
Best day, which I had ever had
There are gonna be dogs
And a lot of cats
There are gonna be different people
Each wearing different hats
I am gonna see lions
Dancing on people’s feet
Ummm… That is
If I can get a seat…

My Cat Grew a Moustache

by Harshita Das aged 10

My cat grew a moustache
And it was very long
My dog bought a radio
And it started singing a song
My hamster bought a TV
Absolutely new
My lizard bought a tablet
You should have seen it too
My snake grew some legs
For it couldn’t slither any more
My tiger bought a doorbell
So people wouldn’t knock at the door
My lion bought lots of snacks
Which it wanted to eat
I had some juice and chips
And chicken meat
So that’s where the money went
My animals took it all
See even my monkey
Bought a cute doll

Adventure of a Bubble

by Harshita Das aged 10

There was a bubble
Who wouldn’t pop
Instead it would go and fly away
Hip and hop
So it went
Making sure that it wouldn’t pop
It tried to climb a mountain
And finally reached the top
It went on and on
On its way
It met another bubble
Who wanted to play
Now the bubble
Crossed the Pacific Ocean
And finally bursted
For its dream was done

My Adventure in the Jungle

by Harshita Das aged 10

Once I went to the Jungle
And I was all alone
I wasn’t scared
Even though I was on my own
I heard the lions roaring
But the birds chirping calmed me down
I saw animals which were in the circus
And animals which weren’t in town
I saw an elephant
And many animals which were in the zoo
I saw a deer
And a kangaroo too
Then I camped out
With bats on my head
And a lot of creepy sounds
I set up my bed
It was really comfortable
With squirrels on my feet
I woke up
And sat on my seat
I picked some mushrooms
And had some beetroot
And some fruit
Then with my squirrel friends
I curled up in the heather
And started knitting a little
For I had brought some leather
I gave the squirrel some nuts and tidbits
From my lunch
But it wasn’t lunch time yet
So I may as well call it brunch

I listened to the chirping birds
And tried to sing their song but it was just too complicated
And just too long
Then I sat on the toadstools with those frogs
But they just ran away so I had to sit on a log
Finally I’ll go back
I’ll miss the jungle very much
But I’m sure that
I’m gonna keep in touch
I’ll miss the tigers
And the squirrels with their nuts
It’s time to go back
Into my hut

Mink

There once was a girl called Mink
She liked her nails to be pink
She didn’t like it blue
Because it was as sticky as glue
Then she washed it off in the sink.

My Stepmother

by DB AND IR aged 9

I have a stepmother,
That is a lover,
She gives me kisses,
As soft as butter.

My stepmother loves my dad ,
Who loves my mum,
And that makes me sad.
Her boyfriend,
Is always on the mend,
He’s always doing DIY for the family.

My stepmum,
Isn’t like one
In a story,
My mum is quite dumb,
And she likes plums.

She is a WICKED step mum,
And I know it.
