Outside My Door

by David Ajayi aged 12

A hot bright morning,

A freedom fighter’s presence is located outside my door.

A cold dark night,

My sister says a Terrorist is lurking outside my door.

A warm blurry afternoon,

my brother says a police enforcer is waiting outside my door.

It seems to be on a shivering snowy evening,

a refugee is trembling outside my door.

I open the door and offer him some hot chocolate.
