I awake; 7:30 AM on a weekday
To my loud, obnoxious siren alarm
Quietly enter the classroom; just five minutes late today
Camera off, microphone dead; Back to sleep I go
Once awake again, a new tab is opened
I yawn, and scroll idly to Youtube
With Chrome muted, the teacher speaks only to the void
If only I had a mute button for reality
I draw, I doodle, I dissect my discord conversations
Read something unrelated to the topic at hand
Yet even after all this freedom I’ve been given
After all the liberties I’ve taken with the time spent at school
How is it that the attention my classes receive
Has not changed at all?
