On This Frozen Wasteland

by Daisy Woods aged 10

On this Frozen Wasteland
thy bird does not sing.
On this Frozen Wasteland
thee would perish in a blink

There is no life,
Nor trees on this barren land.
Because this is the frozen wasteland
never what it once was.

It used to be a happy land.
Where smiles were upon all,
Peaceful people,
But why didn’t they see

What they were doing to their perfect world?
Although these people were kind, to their planet however
They were disguised bullies.
Rubbish everywhere my, oh,my.

No trees left for breathing,
with so many perished.
All dead but me.
I couldn’t save my generation, not me alone.

But you can,
If you all take a stand.
So please,
look after your earth.

Because this is the Frozen Wasteland,
Not pretty, but my home.
I shall live out my days here,
However thy shan’t
