Not Here to Play

by Brodie aged 13

You woke up to play
You want to play all day
Your dad is not here to play
Your friends are not here today

You wait all day to play
Your dad is here now, you try to play
He says I’m not here to play
Then he spanks you all day

Hi Brodie. I just tidied up the end of your poem, as it would be edited in a book. If you’re not happy re-send your original.

Hi Brodie. I wasn’t offering to put your poem in a book. Just saying that we edit all the poems that come in to the Poetry Zone before we publish them on the site. We check spellings, punctuation and tidy them up a bit.
