But She Would Never Love Me Back

by Kaytee Scott aged 14

I sit next to him.
Oh, how I want him to lean over and kiss me full on the mouth,
But of course that will never happen.
I am plain.
Average.
Unnoticable.
Brown wavy hair, brown eyes, plain face.
Nothing extraordinary.
I love him.
But he would never love me back.

I sit next to her.
Oh, how I wish I could lean over and kiss her, full on the mouth.
But of course that would never happen.
I am a coward.
She would never love me back, anyways.
I am annoying.
On the “nerdy” side.
Awkward.
I love her.
But she would never love me back.

I love him. I love her.
But he would never love me back. But she would never love me back.
