My parents see a little girl doing her homework
But I see myself sitting on a dragon as I fly gracefully through the sky,
At least that’s what I see in my imagination
My teacher sees a little girl getting on with maths
But i see myself jumping on clouds as I stroke each one
At least that’s what I see in my imagination
My friends see a little girl running to tag people
But I see myself launching to space collecting stars
At least that’s what I see in my imagination
A boy who teases me sees me sitting there and ignoring him,
But I’m really not.
I’m standing there smiling to myself, thinking about how he has no imagination.
I know better than to get annoyed with a person who doesn’t.
