My Book

by Avinash Jadhav aged 12

I took a new book
Guess what I saw in the book?
I saw a poem
I saw a poem
And I sang the poem.
I sang the poem with rhythm.

I took a new book.
Guess what I saw in the book?
I saw a story,
I saw a story
When I dropped the book
I told it sorry.

I took a new book.
Guess what I saw in the book?
I saw a lesson,
I saw a lesson
When we read it
It reduced our tension.

I took a new book.
Guess what I saw in the book?
I saw new words,
I saw new words.
I can use them to describe my poems and stories.

Hello Avinash. I like your poem. I changed it to be all in the same tense. I also changed the end a bit, as forts didn’t really make sense.
    Hope that’s okay.
