My Beauty

by Lily-Grace Morrison aged 12

My beauty isn’t yours
to judge, it is mine,
Gifted by my father
and mother, divine.

I belong to myself,
And myself I have taught,
To look deep within,
And see true beauty can’t be bought.

The oceans of my eyes,
tell me I have power,
That I’m not labelled by those who come
and go within an hour.

I now know that
I am all I need to be,
I’m great, I’m phenomenal,
I’m beautiful, I’m me.
