Mr Snowman

by Charlottei aged 10

10am rush outside
To a white wonderland to play
Fluffy snow, collapsing below
On this chilly, wintery day

In great big groups
Gather up the snow
Roll into balls, your duty calls
As the wind begins to blow

Add a carrot as a nose
And some coal
Wood for arms
More snow to roll

A hat and a scarf
To keep him warm
Snow flurrying, wind hurrying
The evil snowstorm

Morning is here
White is the ground
Snowflakes, Christmas cakes
Not a single sound

Outside he stands tall
And I know I’m proud
Because I know he can
My beloved snowman
Can stand
Through the storm
