On the Moon’s Horizon

by Olive aged 9

Runner-up. Well done.

From Earth on a clear black night
You see it shining bright
You say to yourself
You want to go out,
You want to go to the moon one night

One very strong-armed man
Accomplished this very great plan
He went up on a ship
With oxygen tanks above his hips
Flying to the moon

When the little capsule landed
He stepped one foot out,
The surface dusted
With gray stardust flying everywhere

The zero gravity effect
So fun to play in
The horizon blurry and shiny
So fun gaze at

From Earth on a clear black night
You see it shining bright
You want to go out
Just because you can’t out, don’t pout!
You see it out without a cloud in sight!
