Midnight Castle

by Jia aged 9

The shivering of the clouds
The howling of the night
It struck 12
And it was midnight
The starts were shining
Oh so bright
The sky was full of so much delight
The chimneys filled
With so much smoke
The driver decided to sail off in a boat
Stepping out of the bus in disguise
Was like a cat stepping on mice
There he was… the floor crumbled
‘Master master,’ was all that he mumbled
‘I’m here for you I’m here for you.’
The ghosts in the town were not new
The shadows lurking in the castle
The walls rattling like a rattle
‘Call me your master and obey my disasters.’
‘You will have your chance to shine bright in the sky
but obey my amazing disguise.’
Disguise?
Disguise?

Excellent. Good work. The walls rattling like… I think you need a better simile there rather than like a rattle.
