Meningioma Wars

by John Anthony Danos aged 18

It happened
The fight was won
But the war has only just begun
The enemy was swept from the right side
While the tensions built on the inside
The families waited by the door
To see if their loved one
Would come home just once more
The problem was gone
But the pressure was too much
And the nation went under just as such
The soldiers tried to fix it
Opening up the nation once more
They cut through the wall that kept the pressure inside
And when the loved ones came home
They had too much in their mind
They would seize and shake
Because of the trauma they had gone through
Recovery won’t be a sprint but a marathon
