Make the world a better place
Tragedy is something we face
Recycle your plastic
Make the sky fresh and clear
Start walking and give your legs a work out
Don’t make the world worse
Because you are making our challenges harder
Life will be easier for you and me
If us humans stop littering
And that’s the main key
So, let us make the world a better place
For the 8 billion of us in the human race

Hope you don’t mind, but I added a little rhyme at the end. It’s a good trick (and one Shakespeare often used) in a non-rhyming poem – a rhyme at the end rounds it off nicely. (It does still have to make sense though.)
