The Magical Tap Shoes

by Amie Preece aged 7

Tapping all night, dancing all day, helps me clear all the cobwebs away.

Under the tunnel, down by the lake, magical tap shoes showed me the way.

Darker and darker the sun fell down, as I wandered through the old little town.

Past the bushes, past the trees, my eyes fell upon the biggest of dreams.

Closer and closer I wandered on, in through the doors the light shone on.

I looked around and blinked my eye and wondered if I was still dreaming in the sky.
