I have a little Christmas tree as merry as can be,
With glistening fairy lights and a shiny golden key
And on top of this beauty is a star so bold and bright,
That if it shines outside it will shame the moon at night
But below all this magic lies the real treat,
A treat for all those children who’ve been well behaved and neat
Yes! Oh, it’s presents from Santa and his elves
Saying, Have a wonderful Christmas and to always be ourselves!
Lovely poem. I’ve tidied it up a little to make it scan better. Remember to always read a poem aloud to check that the rhythm is nice and smooth.
