Through a Looking Glass

by Sophie-Jaya aged 9

Through a looking glass, I see,
Something like a feathery flea!
It jumped inside the teapot,
Actually stayed on its spot.
Fell asleep in my tea.

Through a looking glass, I hear,
The wind blowing in my ear.
The leaves are rustling,
While people are giggling.
And the sky is visibly clear.

Through a looking glass, I smell,
The ocean salt on seashells.
Apples and pears ripening,
While fragrance sweetening.
Slippery sea glass flowing from a well.

Through a looking glass, I feel,
The radiant grass as I kneel.
The rough dark wood,
Uncomfortably good.
And all the wonderful seals.

Through a looking glass, I see.
Through a looking glass, I hear.
Through a looking glass, I smell.
Through a looking glass, I feel.
Oh, what a wonderful world to be in!
