Last Night I Saw The Stadium

by Rian, Max, Ayden and Jamie aged 11

This morning I saw the stadium rousing
Carbon fibre roofs stretched open to let shards
Of warm morning day in.

Last night I saw the stadium dancing
Local fans hasten in the stadium
Chairs clapped to fans in the air.

Last night I saw the stadium ravenous
Home goals were stuffed
Whilst away were famished
And black plastic bins belched
The white polystyrene cups.

Last night I saw the stadium breathing
Exhaling fans and inhaling stewards
Stewards swilling tsunamis of litter.

Great analogy of a football home game. I can see your team won. Good work on your poem.
