Last Night I Saw My Bedroom Dozing

by Daisy Wain and Abigail Gadsden aged 10 - 11

Last night I saw my bedroom dozing
Lamps were dreaming of becoming stars
Whilst cosy quilt covers were cuddling soft teddies

Last night I saw my bedroom partying
Toothbrushes were dancing the waltz
With minty fresh toothpaste
Teddy bears had a midnight feast
Whilst clothes sang to the sound of rush hour

Last night I saw my bedroom crying
Tears streaming down cold windows
Colourful wallpaper tried not to cry
The drawers opened their watering eyes
Throwing tonnes of clothes out

Last night I saw my bedroom breathing
Curtains opened their eyes ready for the day ahead
My bed stretched and yawned as Monday morning approached
