Jason:
If I’m white
Does it cause you strife?
It doesn’t matter if you don’t like
Or does that just shatter your lights?
Afia:
If I’m black
Am I cause for attack?
In your eyes, am I just not right
Or perhaps it’s your sight?
Guridner:
If I’m brown
There’s no need to scowl, that’s right.
Don’t look at me like that
Even if I gave you a fright.
Bo Chang:
If I’m yellow
Please don’t bellow
Like I’m an odd fellow
Just come and say “hello.”
Teresa:
If I’m cream
I’m just as suitably welcome
Alike the trees that are green
I should be welcome.
Purple person:
If I’m purple
So what, I don’t care
I have as much right as you to speak
Just please don’t dare.
______________________
We are all a multicultural society
With as much right.
We should all be respecting each other
This is what’s right.
It doesn’t mean you have to be friends with that person
Or the like
It means you should respect and celebrate with them
The things that make us alike.
Fair enough some people you don’t like
But we shouldn’t hate or discriminate despite
You should ignite tolerance and tolerance ignite
A simple thing: just show that person a green light.
Because after all
We aren’t all that different
We all have the same cells, let’s just have a ball.
Respect, celebrate and tolerance install
You don’t have to agree with them –
But when we fall
It’s always best to hold hands
As we all stand tall.
