What stays when everything is lost
and has no cost
even thought it keeps us going
stops us from slowing down?
Take off that frown
and listen to my words
for when everything is dark
and there is not even a spark
the one thing that stays is hope.
So we will be able to cope
with what’s to come
it may not be fun
but it is true
and we can do it too.
So gather up your strength
and you can be strong
as you walk along
because you have hope
and it will let you cope
with whatever comes
and it’s not a lie.
Just look up into the sky
and say –
We will get through this
with hope
