Hidden Vision

by Harshita Das aged 13

Peace veils the justice window
To hide one’s sight of villains
Sorrow comes dripping slow
As raindrops cover the window again

Water makes a wet, long trail
Across the crying pane of glass
Disasters hide the path of the frail
Their crimes cover their class

The window must be opened to see
Those outside; suffering in the stormy rain
Looking past the endless sea
Help those who are in pain
