Hawksbill Turtles

by Isabelle Boardman aged 8

Oh hawksbill, oh hawksbill
With the shell so smooth,
Under the water you so gracefully move,
Your slippers so big like an Eagles wing,
As I look at you my heart begins to sing,
But as you glide so gracefully
Watch out for plastic in the sea

You hadn’t finished the poem, isabelle. So I’ve finished it for you.

My poem didn’t sound like it ended but the last two lines were this: Watch out for plastic we will try to pollute less because of us your ocean is a mess but thank you I like your version better

They probably got lost in space somewhere. They definitely didn’t arrive with the rest. I leave mine then. But happy to change to yours if you like.
