Halloween

by Katie H aged 10

Why my Grandpa sleeps in the big wooden box in the cellar,
I don’t know, maybe he thinks there are zombies,
That will catch him in the night.
No, that’s not true,
is it?
Why won’t he sleep in his bed?
I ask him but he just shrugs,
I want to know why but he won’t tell.

I’m glad you wrote that poem for me, Katie. Great poem, not quite good enough for a prize. But well done!
