Grinch

by Diya Joe aged 13

Christmas brings all the kids joy.
What is that for you to destroy?
You bring the world to shame.
You must be filled with guilt and blame.
Now that everyone’s eyes are full of tears,
You’re just sitting like a billionaire
You steal our gifts, trees and feast,
Believing you’d stop our exuberance, at least.
You’re Santa in disguise, with a sly ,mean, grin.
You sneak into our homes,
As the night closes in.
You’re the gross Grinch with a gloomy grudge.
Well my house is full of screaming kids
So don’t even budge.
