Going to School

by Leo and Lewis aged 10 and 10

On the way to school,
I jump in my swimming pool,
Getting out the pool,
I’m now back on my way to school,
When I get there,
I see the teachers glaring at me,
Wondering if I know where
My homework is,
And when I show my homework
The class laughed,
As if I’m some kind of sausage,
And the teacher told them not to be daft,
So when I got to have a break,
When the teacher dismissed us,
I went up to my scruffy mates,
Who told me how he got the bus
To school.
