Galaxy

by Mariam aged 16

Galaxy
Somewhere far away, in a peaceful land
I met a boy called Alex…
Compared to a little, pure star
Shining for me in the Galaxy…
His eyes are ocean
His hair is golden…
And without an emotion
Or saying a word
He looks like a soldier (an angel)
Holding a sword… With one look…
But he’s got the kindest heart
And the face of a child…
Shadowed with a mystery
And beauty hiding in the wild…
Knowing he’ll find the happiness
even if goes blind…
Somewhere in his smile
He may know about my feeling…
His look makes me say a sudden lie
that I say without finding a meaning…
His laugh is my death…
And his death is my laugh…
Calling all this love is too fast…
Because only a smile is never enough…

Lovely poem, Mariam. I’ve made a few small edits. I hope you don’t mind.
