In the Valley of the Kings
Built for the dead Pharaohs
The mummies sleep soundly

Wrapped in their bandages
Surrounded by
Their golden treasures

Snakes slither in the soft sand
Looking for their next prey
As Horus flies overhead
Higher than the clouds

Ra fades away
Into the darkness
Reborn in the next
Egyptian morning.
