The Doctors

by Carly McCormick aged 9

I went to the doctor the other day,
the doctor said, “What’s your name?”
I said, “Um um um oh no I forgot.”
“I know my name,” I said
“I just can’t remember.”
“Hurry up, I don’t have long.
There’s a queue crowded round the door.”
15 minutes later I was still in the room.
Then the doctor asked, “Why are you here?”
“I can’t remember,” I said
“But I’ve remembered my name.”
