Dear Parents

by Curtis Frank Jordan aged 11

Dear Parents, you are the best mum and dad,
You lift me up when I’m feeling bad.
When I’m upset, you give me a cuddle,
No different from a penguin huddle.

When I’m in school, becoming smart,
Even when I’m alone, you’re always in my heart.
Wherever I am, whenever it is,
If you are with me, it is always a whizz.

You comfort me whenever I’m home,
And when I walk through the door, I’m never alone.
You give me a kiss, you give me a hug,
Your love radiates and you make me snug.

The one thing you prioritise for me is care,
And love and lie-ins are one of the many things you share.
Whenever I see you, I feel ten foot tall,
And when I need you, you always accept the call.
