Cuddles are short festivals of love
Maybe you could even give one to a dove
Love is having a cuddle when you feel sad or when you feel bad.
After a cuddle I feel much better
And if you get a kiss, it makes you feel a bit wetter!

When I ask for a hug I want to feel happy and loved.
When other people cry I always ask if I
Can give them a hug.
I put my arms around them but do not squeeze them too tight.

When it is time for sleep at night
We cuddle up tight and I do my dreaming
In the morning before school
Happy squeezy cuddles on the floor are cool
But not if you have just finished your cereal.

Just like the 5 portions of vegetables and fruit,
Everybody should have 10 portions of cuddles a day
To make them feel happy and loved, not a brute!
Sometimes you might have doubles portions and have 20 and hey,
In 2 days you would have 40
But you would have to be sporty to have a 100 a day.

Imagine if everyone could pay for things by giving cuddles.
The number of cuddles would match the price
Soft cuddles would be nice and
Little cuddles for mice.

It made me sad when Kip told me not to give him cuddles anymore.
He cuddled me yesterday when I told him it was my last day.
Before I went away, Miss Simms told the class to stop
So I could say goodbye.
I made sure I went to everybody and gave them a hug.
