The Christmas Star’s Tale

by Joseph Wisher aged 10

Runner Up

Look up there, in the sky,
That beacon of light, way up high.

The Christmas Star, a symbol of love,
Proof of Jesus, who sits up above.

It led the Wise-Men to where he lay,
To the birth of Christmas day.

It glows up there all night long,
While the angels sing their heavenly song.

With the world; share your light,
Is it not a beautiful sight?

Some believe it to be a regular star,
The epic light that stays afar.

I know that God is real,
He sent that star to reveal

The location of Jesus in a manger,
To all, from known to stranger.

It was used to guide Kings and Shepherds to the one and only,
While it’s up there you’ll never be lonely.

If you are longing for a friend, look up there in the sky,
To that beacon of light, way up high.
