The Cave

by Tom Bartley aged 9

There once was a cave so dark and cold it was so horrible it was growing mould
The cave was like a big, black, horrible and monstrous cave full of horrible secrets
Nobody knew about the cave and nobody dared to enter it!!
There must be someone surely, but no one seemed to be brave enough.

Inside the cave there were horrible noises, the water was dripping like a tap
The stalactites and stalagmites stood tall and proud like pointing candles
The cave is like a long, never-ending tunnel full of echoes and large shadows.
The echoes are like a roaring lion.
The wind every night and day blew in and out the cave speedily and fiercely.

The scary cave always gave a ghastly groan as people walked past it.
Normally when people heard noises there would be the sound of CRUNCH SCREECH.
And people would NEVER EVER go near the cave again!!
