I wasn’t there when the fire flamed high
I wasn’t there when the last words were uttered
I wasn’t there to hold her hand firmly
To prevent the soul from leaving us
But my each heartbeat synced with hers
Have come to an end.
Now I live with memories…
A book of memories which keeps me forever
Next to my grandma… the epitome of unconditional love
Now there’s no one at home eagerly awaiting my calls,
No more delicious pickles I wolf down,
No more of that wrinkled soft skin I play with.
Oh! How I wish if a boon I had…..
God if you please… bring back my grandma
As hale and hearty as ever.

Its beautiful. It made me cry. Please write more poems. They are so good. I am crying as I am writing this.
