In My Box

by Henry King aged 10

In my box

Jumping jumpers jumping high, reaching for the great green sky
Flinging up down and around, trying to reach the sky
My dad and my mum coming together and then falling apart
Sharing and taking the precious piece

In my box

Small proportions of breakfast, lunch and dinner
Being pushed by giants around a raging rose red park
Tumbling down a humongous hill
Building blocks built high and the singing of children

In my box

Multi-coloured Lego from the nursery trapped in my heart
My box is made of hardened blue tack
which reminds me of my life now
My box is ALSO made of gold and has cat claw hinges

I shall look over my box

Keeping the memories safe in my heart
