Birds fly in the air
around the trees, here and there
but one bird is on the ground
staring at them flying around
The poor penguin who never flew
when he arrived he was so new
but he is happy on the ice
and he still very nice

What a fantastic poem
It really was fantastic wasn’t it! Well done Jamie
I love the poem. The penguin was sad at the beginning but it was happy at the end. Well done Jamie ??
Wow, this poem really stood out to us. To be a bird and not be able to fly! But luckily the penguin is happy on the ice. We loved it. Jamie Lea-Seagreen is an extremely talented poet. We hope he knows it 🙂
A lot of thought went into this poem. I like that he knew and could compare the birds to the penguin. Well done.
I loved your poem Jamie. I wonder who was more free. The bird in the sky. Or the ice bound penguin. Well done. Xxxxxx
A beautiful and clever poem well done Jamie
Well done Jamie. Beautiful
What a lovely poem sweetie, you so talented. I loved reading your poetry, I hope you going to write some more for Uncle Don and I to read here in South Africa. Penguins are very special.
Good to know and like all birds even the ones that can’t fly to , well done
What a beautiful poem Jamie! We are so proud of you!!
My Jamie-pie, what a lovely poem. Every time I see a penguin, I’ll remember your words and how awesome they truly are. Well done! We are super proud of you xxx
